ACOM 2000S | Automatic Antenna Selector

ACOM 2000S | Automatic Antenna Selector

Usage
The ACOM 2000S is an automatic 1 out of 10 antennas selector. ACOM 2000S accepts serial RS-232 input command for antenna number selection from ACOM 2000A amplifier or other device and converts it to a 4-bit parallel BCD inverted output code to antenna switch (e.g. ACOM 2000SW).

Easy to operate

  • No operator intervention is required at all when used with the ACOM 2000A amplifier or controlled via PC or another device. Thus the risk of inadvertent errors, such as incorrect antenna selection is eliminated;
  • Tactile and sound feedback is provided when the antenna number is selected manually via the Up and Down buttons on the front panel;

Compatibility

  • Directly compatible with ACOM 2000A automatic HF linear amplifier and ACOM 2000SW remote antenna switch;
  • Control is compatible with other systems via RS-232 serial input from PC/device or inverse BCD output code to antenna switch;

Integration capabilities

  • When ACOM 2000S is used in combination with the ACOM 2000SW remote antenna switch and the ACOM 2000A Automatic HF Linear Amplifier, antenna selection information generated by the ACOM 2000A is communicated to the 2000S. The 2000S displays the currently selected antenna number and drives the control signals needed to operate the remotely-located ACOM 2000SW;
  • The 2000S includes a general-purpose RS-232 control port. This port can be driven by a PC, allowing the 2000S/2000SW combination to be used in customer environments where computer-controlled switching of multiple antennas is required. All functions are accessible from a PC via serial port connection;

Protection
ACOM 2000S monitors “Ready to Transmit” parallel input signal from antenna switch and generates “Transmit Inhibit” output signal to the transceiver for maximum operating flexibility and anti-hot switching protection.

INDICATION
Antenna number 7-segment LED indicator plus sound alarm.

Network capability
Local network capability, compatible with ACOM 2000A automatic HF linear amplifier.

Software integration
Different software solutions are available in Internet (NOT offered by ACOM) for automatic tuning of all antennas on all band segments when using the 2000S and 2000SW with or without the ACOM 2000A amplifier. These software solutions require a special set of connection cables. Please, contact us for cable details when purchasing our products.

Recommendation
Both ACOM 2000S (automatic antenna selector) and ACOM 2000SW (remote antenna switch) operate perfectly together. Thus, is recommended both devices be ordered as a package.
